For some time now, the entire air defense system of the Eastern Seaboard has been stealthily migrating down the shore and over to Arizona, where it will be used to patrol the border and strafe invading Mexican families.
A childhood astronomy buff who once interviewed Carl Sagan for a forgotten journalistic enterprise, I often check the late afternoon/early evening sky to see whether Venus or Mars is the evening “star.” And also to keep tabs on the overflights of military jets. You may not see me that way. Lately I have mostly been tracking the antics of the Tea Party and the progress of an Italian techno band, the Bloody Beetroots.
