Occupy Wall Street
October 2, 2011 in Civil Rights
The Occupy Wall Street protests have been ongoing for the past two weeks. Incidents of protestor misconduct have been rare, yet there have been approximately a thousand arrests. Allegations of police excesses are been rampant, including an incident in which a uniformed Deputy Inspector deployed pepper spray on a small group of non-violent female protesters, and the arrest of 700 protesters who marched on the Brooklyn Bridge.
This is an open blog post. You can post anything in the comments related to Occupy Wall Street as long as it conforms to the Wordsmoker commenter rules (which are admittedly vague). No opinion is too subversive. No stance too oppressive.* Enjoy the First Amendment rights that The Lord Your God, Creator of Heaven and Earth a couple of dozen dead guys gave you, while you still can! Be heard!
