Thank You, Nonexistent God!

November 2, 2009 in Crafty Bastards, religion

[Warning: Blasphemy threat RED. Please don't get all clicky and then all persnickety. ]

Look, Christian God. I know our relationship has been tenuous ever since that day I told you I didn’t believe in you, anymore. And maybe that one time when I nailed that heart to the neighbor’s door made you feel like I didn’t have your back. But as I’ve said time and time again, the devil made me do it. Also, never mind that dead body behind the curtain. Or that unfinished dissertation.

Bill Donohue Overdoses On McCarthy Pills

October 20, 2009 in Rants, religion

Oh, Phil Bill Donohue. You really do see yourself as a Geiger counter of morality. Well, that’ up to you – you can believe what you want. Especially when you castigate those who obviously don’t believe in what you believe. It’s up to you. You sound angry, though. Now you’re lashing out at everyone. I dunno if you’re turning borderline-Goebbels, but you’ve certainly done some McCarthy recently.

Faith and Prayer: The New Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free Card

October 11, 2009 in Rants, religion

As most of you might know, or at least those who actually read my comments, I don’t watch the news.  Ever.  For any reason.  Except when I’m traveling, and it just so happens I’m at the Portland airport and my flight is delayed*.  I took a seat in front of a television and the current headline was about the sentencing of Dale and Leilani Neumann, convicted of second-degree reckless homicide for neglecting to seek medical attention for their 11 year old daughter Madeline who had a serious yet treatable form of diabetes and died from the symptoms.  The diabetes went undiagnosed because the Neumann’s never sought medical attention, even when the symptoms got so serious that Madeline could no longer walk, talk, eat or drinkRead the rest of this entry →

The Resurrection Of Virus

April 13, 2009 in religion

BRB JesusThe next evening, when Easter Parade ended, Mary Magdalene, Salome and Mary the mother of James went out and purchased burial hashish to put on Virus’ body. Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they came to the bedroom. On the way they were discussing who would roll the door away from the entrance to the room. But when they arrived, they looked up the hall and saw the door – a very large one – had already been rolled open. So they entered the room, and there on the right sat a young cat clothed in a white duvet. The women were startled, but the cat said:

PopeWatch: Catholic Priests Now Terrified

February 2, 2009 in I SHIT YOU NOT, religion

palpatine-popeIn a blow to men of the cloth, Pope Killer-Eyes XVI has elevated (not literally) a pastor from Austria who has said in 2005 that Hurricane Katrina was “divine retribution” for New Orlean’s permissive sexual attitudes and the “tolerance” of geighness, and as such, has terrified Catholic priests everywhere.
