As you probably know, Wordsmoker keeps ticking over thanks to the help of more than a few people. If you were to look beyond the glossy leather exterior and aerodynamic front page you’d see Rene Sance, Chillbear Latrigue, Mama Penguino and Latterday Lenin beavering away like little wizards behind the curtain. I also do a certain amount of work when I’m not lying in bed thinking about anything but the reality of my life. Which brings me to the person I’m here to talk about. Someone who keeps me ticking over.

Holy Toledo Crap! Several pedants I know and love *ahem* ‘Penguino, ‘Latrigue and ‘Sance *ahem* have been getting their KNICKERS in a joyously excited twist (or panties in a love-bundle, if you prefer) over the FACT that comment number 30,000 is quickly and serenely coming our way like a big plastic steamroller driven by a clown who’s just fallen off the wagon. 30,000! Clown!

I’m kinda sleepy with painkillers and full of meh with depression, but if you’ve sent copy via email I’ll hopefully get around to it tomorrow if the pain subsides. Anyway, I’ve done something to my right shoulder which has caused intense shooting pains down my entire arm, essentially rendering it useless for the moment. So I’m hunting and pecking this whole message out to inform you of my physical malady SO YOU CAN CHORTLE AT MY EXPENSE YOU INTERNET BASTARDS. Sorry for the delay etc. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow because writing this took 20 fucking minutes. Urgh. xoxo

I am unavailable this weekend to do the smokies. I’ve been working crazy hours and have been unable to keep up to date with this weeks posts and this weekend is rife with plans and outings and all sorts of romantic entanglements with My Indian Companion. You see, it’s our three year anniversary.
So, instead of owning up to my responsibility and finding time, I shirked it and passed it off to Chillbear. Yes, ChillbearLatrigue will be our man of smokies this week. So send your bribes/flattery/innuendo/hopes-for-a-better-tomorrow/cases-of-coke-products his way. He will be an apt and a fair judge, I have no doubt.

Hello Computer Friends
For some reason some of you sometimes have problems logging in to something called Wordsmoker. Some! The whys and wherefores are a mystery, apart from me working out the mystery like a naked, electric Columbo wearing only my writey hat. For information – the GLORIOUS SERVER on which Wordsmoker resides on like a sleepy hooker is configured to cache all the content to lessen the load on GLORIOUS SERVER. This is the standard operating procedure for every WordPress installation – essentially, no cache and the GLORIOUS SERVER will crash and serve up nuthin’ to nobody and everyone will cry.
