Nittany Monsters – The Penn State Five

July 12, 2012 in Crime and Punishment, Dicks, Sports

So now that the Freeh, Sporkin & Sullivan report has hit the newsstands, and we have the details of the absolutely nauseating Penn State child molestation cover-up, we can now quit pretending that some magical piece of evidence is going to appear that will elevate criminals Joe Paterno et al to anything above the type of human excrement who would allow a monster like Sandusky to not only go unpunished, but also provide him an infrastructure to keep raping young boys. It was the molestation of an eleven-year old boy in 1998 that informed these powerful men that they had a child molester in their midst, but it was their deliberate indifference that allowed him to access future victims and bring them to the chamber of tortures that the Lasch Building shower became.
Joe Paterno had a big name because he won a lot of games coaching a sport that, in the grand scheme of things, means absolutely nothing. To help him accomplish his magnificent winning record all he and his buddies Spanier, Schultz, and Curley had to do was to turn a blind eye on a child molester, keep him in the Nittany Lion football program, assist him in setting up a club to attract victims, and give him a place to rape them. Sandusky is a serial rapist, and Paterno, Spanier, Schultz, and Curley were his accessories. One criminal is in prison; one died from a disease that has claimed far better people, but three remain at large.

Graham B. Spanier – University President

Gary C. Schultz – Senior Vice-President, Finance

Timothy M. Curley – Athletic Director

Joseph V. Paterno – Head Football Coach

Gerald A. Sandusky – Defensive Coordinator

I hope that the students of Penn State build a bonfire and burn anything that bears your names.

The idea that this was allowed to go on infuriates me. I wish that whole fucking school burned to the damn ground.

I just want to note that I didn’t try to find smug photos of Spanier, Schultz, and Curley. That’s the way these assholes look in nearly every photo. They must be so pleased with their existences.

Once further arrests have been made, maybe our country can at least briefly realize that there are more important things than football. Particularly Penn State football. Paterno’s legacy has been forever tarnished by this report, as it should be. It’s too bad he died of lung cancer before he could be subjected to our justice system and the increased public scorn that is no doubt coming.

Molestation is the word righteous, old, white guys use. It’s rape, and it’s ugly.

I used both terms for a couple of reasons. While “rape” may be the more appropriate term for what Sandusky did, I know that the very word is uncomfortable for a lot of people who might read this post. It was important to say it, but I didn’t think that I needed to keep beating the drum. Most words that I can use are inadequate to properly illustrate the atrocities that these co-conspirators concealed.

The other reason is that I wanted both terms to show up in search engine queries, so if some righteous old white guy searched “Penn State molestation” he might still find this article.

This is why you should never paint a mural beatifying suspected criminals before their names are cleared. Onward State reports that Michael Pilato, the artist who painted a halo over Joe Paterno’s head on a tacky mural after his death, masked the celestial crown. The blue ribbon—symbolizing Paterno’s unwavering support for child abuse victims—remains on the child rape enabler’s lapel.

Pilato was quoted as saying, ““Sadly, today is one of the hardest things that I’ve done.” Obviously, Pilato has never had to recover from being raped as a child.

Here’s a picture of some idiot putting his finger in the creep’s mouth:

Halo or not, your painting sucks, Pilato.
