Self Esteem Self Esteem Self Esteem! I Say. And North Korea!
Self Esteem is an evaluation of worth, but being a Worthless Emo I would also write a book on the topic. I will not be writing a book on the topic.
On the international scale in the Realist Tradition, the only real thing you can judge as a snapshot appearance that matters is threat of force within an anarchic system. It makes sense, but once you get to know the world you’ll see that sometimes they are nice people too. It isn’t the first irrational appearance of threat you notice with Canada’s new Fighter Jets that makes you love Canada as PimpMyCoutch writes on hockey this week. Everybody loves Canada, probably not for the air superiority. Probably because people look past the realism.
Now North Korea, in a Realist sense, has placed all of their focus on international appearances. Its only the appearance of force that matters.
All that matters is the Realist appearance of international actors seeing their threat of force first, it seems. Only that. Nothing gets in and nothing gets out. The Sŏn’gun policy puts food and other living resources to the military FIRST before uhh women… children… the sick… the elderly… the citizens.
“North Korea, you need to eat!!”
NK “….no…”
UN: “We have food… we can give you foooood. You need to eat the food.”
NK “….food? wtf is that? I don’t need food”
USA: “Yes, there is food. Plenty of food to go around.”
NK: “You look fat in that dress. I’m a model…”
NK: *flicks hair
The UN and USA together: “We can give you food aid, there are just some conditions you would need to meet. Condition number 1. Don’t shoot anyone. Don’t shoot any missiles or rockets at anybody. We have 240 thousand tonnes of food here for you, alight?
NK: “…….”
NK: *Launches 3-stage rocket towards Japan****
