Give Money to Military Gamers…no really it’s going to be used on them
April 12, 2012 in Annoying Things, Geeking Out
As you may or may not be
aware Twyztedmind is my Husband & also happens to be one of the thousands of Gamers in the military who get deployed every year. He’s gone now (no I can’t tell you where. I’d have to call Seal Team 6 in to re-arrange your memories if I did). He runs 2 game nights currently on the USS Enterprise (CVN 65) & has a really good turn out of other geeks who have been banished to reside in her steel walls. The problem we have is being able to get our hands on the products that the guys are asking for because none of the publishers consider us a “Real” store. I went to Las Vegas to confront these game manufactures who still do not consider radioactive steel & rivets to be enough of a store to allow us to carry their products. I think this has to do with the fact that they can only see our website (www.gamerapocalypseinc.com).
So we are trying to raise money to change that so we can get our hands on all the fluffy bunny cards the military wants. In order for these places to consider us a store we would need a store front, actual posted hours, inventory & shelving for all the inventory. We have the inventory part down with the stuff we can buy & we kind of have posted hours (right now it’s when I am awake & willing to deal with all of these silly requests) but the rest of it not so much. My paycheck right now goes to support this program but it’s not enough for us to get a store front. This is where you can help.

Copy that link, paste it into a new tab (or new web page depending on how you roll) & contribute if you are able. Share no matter if you are able or not. We need this thing to go Viral. I expect phone calls from CNN (and ignoring calls from Fox news) by the end of this week because they heard about this campaign.
