This bitch needs an intermission; I liked it but jeez! Pare it down a bit, would ya? Also, there is no cellphone service in Sweden. Oh, and fuck social workers.

    I thought that David Fincher’s decision to have Hedeby Island inhabited with wild gorillas was pretty inspired. The top hats were a bit much, though.

    I have high hopes for the movie. The book was excellent. Rage and revenge powerful motives.

    @ KissTheBoys: I didn’t love the book, but I thought it was decent. If you liked the book, you will like the movie. It is a good adaptation with very few diversions. Most of those were hat-wearing gorilla-related.

    Oh, and it makes me want to get some sort of piercing. Or a tattoo. And yes, I know that last bit will bring on the wrath of Chillbear, but I don’t even care.

    Chillbear only cares because we’ve reached the point of ink saturation in the world. Until enough hipsters die off of “natural causes” or another war thins out their ranks, the world cannot bear anymore tattoos.

    How about getting prosthetic demigod features? I don’t see anyone with real angel wings or demon horns yet.

    I’m trying to remember why I read this book, but I think it was because it was by a Swedish author and I assumed that he would write differently since the testosterone has been bred out of those people.
