Crazy Man – Known For Saying Crazy Things – Says Crazy Thing

June 10, 2011 in Crazy

The world of entertainment reacted with mock outrage today as a crazy man with a known history of drug abuse, erratic behavior and saying “crazy things” while “acting crazy” said another crazy thing in front of an audience who had paid money to watch the crazy man do and say crazy things. According to sources, the crazy man – who has become rich and famous for acting crazy and saying crazy things – stepped over the line from being “entertainingly crazy” to plain old “crazy-crazy” because something the crazy man said didn’t fit into non-crazy peoples’ world view of what crazy was.

Said one audience member:

I paid for my ticket because I love watching the crazy man saying and doing crazy things on the television. Imagine my shock when the crazy man said something crazy, something just so crazy it didn’t fit into my comfortably secure  view of what a patently crazy man can say or do in front of me or others for cash. I was so appalled at the crazy man’s crazy talk that I left the show early, and walked home while ignoring all the slightly less entertaining crazy men lying on the sidewalk begging for loose change. You might say that I have double-standards about my crazy people, but I refuse to feel guilty just because I prefer my crazy a bit more “minstrely”.

At the time of writing it is unsure if the crazy man will continue to say and do crazy things on the television for an enormous amount of money.

Tracy Morgan is 42.

    It’s a dealbreaker, ladies.

I didn’t find him funny on SNL, I don’t find him anything but so irritating on 30 Rock that I find myself turning off the show when he shows up, and I don’t find his rantings on homosexuality to be funny or crazy or anything but repulsive and uninformed.

How he got as popular as he has over the years escapes me; he’s an ugly, ugly person.

I like the closing sentence. Really ties everything together.

I think it’s safe to say this is going to take him out of the 2014 NYC mayor’s race.

Maybe my reading comprehension is failing me, but you’re defending this it would seem. I think what he actually said was that if his son were gay he would stab him to death.

    This shit’s crazy.

That baffles me, too. It’s not even funny; it’s just depraved and ignorant.

    Tina Fey weighs in:

“It … doesn’t line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever hurt another person.”

Ugh, the only joke here is that he actually expects people to believe he was joking and not being a homophobic prick.

    @ MilitantRubberDucky:
I actually believe it. I think he was just trying to be “edgy” and it didn’t work. It’s excruciating when new material bombs that badly, but it does happen — particularly today, when an “ironic” (Ha! Air-quotes for “ironic!”) approach to racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. is really important in comedy. I think people try to go down that road without having really thought it out. I used to be really bothered by Sarah Silverman’s comedy, for instance, but over time I’ve gotten to see what she does with the rest of her life, and concluded that I was just wrong about it. Or just that her comedy is not for me.

You might be right, and I hope you are. I really just didn’t come off as ironic, you know?

It should be noted that WordPress/Wordsmoker just yelled at me. I went to correct my typo, and it replied:

    Fuck you, slow thing.

I’m not defending this or him whatsoever. What he said was utterly heinous. What I was joking around with that after a career constructed out of him saying the most outrageous things in front of everybody – a lot of which could be taken exception to – suddenly his drug-addled and crazy schtick goes over the line of commonly accepted parameters and everyone’s going “oh, I didn’t expect the obviously crazy person to say something this crazy”.

I’m just bored with the public’s desire to roar with laughter at obviously drug-fuelled minstralism up until a certain point, then their mock-outrage spilling into my eyes when the crazy reaches the level of “oh, that’s not that entertaining now, in fact it’s a pretty offensive”.

Come back to me if I haven’t clarified this enough.

@ VirusWithShoes: That’s strange. You usually love bigotry and homophobia. I was going to suggest that you actually put “bigotry and homophobia are encouraged” on the “About Page.” You know, instead of just having it talk only about Israel and Palestine.
