As someone who thinks Band of Brothers was one of the best things ever to air on the tellibison, I was a little disappointment with ep. 1 of The Pacific. Too much history lesson and not enough of the characters interacting which made BoB so terrific. Will give it a chance since it his some of the same crew who made BoB. Also does not have Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston but they can’t have been fighting everywhere.

I really want to look at this.

Sadly, I no longer have HBO.

@Belltolls: I wouldn’t have expected it to be like Band of Brothers, if for no other reason that the Pacific Campaign was far different than the European Campaign. Pacific was D-Day over and over and over, with an enemy whose only thought was to sacrifice themselves in order to ramp up the American body count, hoping the American people would have no stomach for war.

I absolutely loved Band of Brothers; I hope The Pacific is of the same caliber and am very interested to see Tom Hanks and Spielberg’s take on the Pacific Theater. I missed the first episode, so I will leave you now to go watch it (thank God for On Demand).

First row, second column. When you go to watch it, a thing for HBO pops up requiring you to register, but it’s free. You can also view it on fancast.com, but it also requires you to register for free due to the content. Hope it helps!
