Oh, I love this – I saw a few months ago and it just never stops being funny.
South Chagrin. There should be a town named that in every state, except for Jersey, which would have South Ydonchablome, as we are too tough and oblivious for any distress of mind due to failure or humiliation.
BL-I have toyed with the idea of naming a child Chagrin and sitting back and watching while people said “oh what an unusual and lovely name”.
@SS: I know a kid named Cartier. Also one named Revelation. ‘Twould be no biggie in my ‘hood: “Chagrin, ooh, that’s French!”
@SS: Hold out for twins. Then you can name them Chagrin and Barrett.

VOX- oh if I have twins then they are totally being named Chagrin and Elation. Just to let them know where they stand in terms of my affection from day one.
My roommate and I use life sized cardboard cutouts of ourselves as place holders for things like: couch positions, shower times, kitchen cleaning duties, and “companions” coming over. So this actually helped me a lot.
