Movie Night At The Movies – Dead Heat

May 27, 2009 in Wordsmoker Movie Night At The Movies!

Neck and neck, I tells ya.

Normally, I guess I’d just decide the winner, but I’m having a difficult time.  On one hand, I want to watch On The Waterfront.  On the other hand, I think I should watch Casablanca, and should feel shame for not having done so already.

Hrmph.

Help a panda out.  Keep those votes rolling in.  I’ll declare a winner tomorrow morning.

And here’s your friendly reminder.  Movie night Chatzy discussion is Monday, June 8th @ 9:30PM EST.  From the sound of it, there won’t be much to discuss that hasn’t already been discussed about these films.  Maybe we should watch them both and each prepare a compare/contrast essay on a given topic, such as acting styles or direction.

I think I just may do that anyway, hence to avoid having to make a difficult decision.  After all, I created this feature as an excuse to get caught up on my movie watching.

Leave your votes in the comments.  On The Waterfront, Casablanca, or both, which would include the essay from me.

This is a dilemma. I’m netflixing OTWF now since I have seen Casablanca and believe I own a copy. It’s called hedging your bets, folks. It’s what winners do. Or so I’ve heard.

I saw the headline and was really excited that Dead Heat (1988), the zombie-cop action-comedy starring Treat Williams, Joe Piscopo and Vincent Price, had come out on top.

Sproing: Awesome. I’ve taken note, and I’m very keen to a schlock horror flick theme.
