So egregiously awful that everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves. Oh, except the writers; they should be shot before they can even feel a thing.

I just knew this had to be bad when I saw one of the promotional teasers (heh) in which two of the lawyer ladies switch shirts to the wolfish comments of one of the dude lawyers. It screamed desperation.

Thank you for saving me the time and brain cells, Dahl.

A show of stereotypes: the usual beautiful blonde, who is mad smart and a tough girl, and out to prove how smart and tough she is regardless of the unprofessionally revealing clothing she wears that is obviously out of her price range as a newbie and her perfectly coifed-at-all-times hair; the plain Jane, who gets the workhorse type stuff instead of the glamorous jobs and is always relegated to the background even though she is just as smart as blonde girl; the tough-as-nails boss who throws things as the junior associates; one fuck-up type guy; one earnest do-gooder guy…Sounds like Scooby-doo for the legal set. And yes, I got this all from the commercials, as I would never waste my time on this kind of shit. Scooby-doo did it much better, and had a slightly talking dog, to boot.

I knew this would be a horrible show when some woman stuck her hand down some guys pants and was able to tell he wasn’t Jewish. That’s some clever writing right there.

Also that HR guy has a really weird face.

The promos for this show look absolutely awful. Glad my hunch was correct.

Just to clarify, the only reason I (and my husband) watched this show is because Mr. Lama will (hopefully) be in this very same position in a year and a half, and we were curious to see the portrayal of first-year associates. For the first time ever in the history of life*, I had to beg him to change the channel. I finally understood how he felt all those times I forced him to sit through One Tree Hill.

*Requests to change from ESPN not included

Dahle, you should write TV reviews for a living. I’m not sure you can make a living doing that, but I think once you establish yourself as the Ebert of TV reviews, you will. Plus, since Sr. Lama is going to be a lawyer, somebody in the fambly has to make money.

    Love, registered.
