2 Second TV Review: Community

I wouldn’t call it the funniest show on television (an honor I bounce back and forth between 30 Rock and The Office), but I do enjoy it, which makes me happy because new half-hour comedies usually suck. (Although last night’s Parks & Recreation was absolutely hilarious!)

I love the living hell out of 30 Rock, and same with the office, although I haven’t been keeping up with it. My Indian Companion and I are going to soon acquire the early seasons and start from the beginning. But neither have made me laugh as much as Community. 30 Rock is certainly a close second, though.

Is it getting better? Because I watched the first two episodes and wasn’t very impressed.

Also, I’ll watch anything with Joel McHail. I saw him live once and it was like watching The Soup on set.

Cap’n: It’s been staying consistent, so I’d imagine if you didn’t like the first two episodes, you won’t like the subsequent ones. Although it was amazingly hilarious to see Joel McHale dressed up in a purple shirt and rainbow suspenders and fly a kite around campus in order to show his professor that he’s ’seizing the day.’ That’s episode three, I believe.

Also, Unciv: I was curious about Modern Family. I’ll be checking that one out for sure.

Modern Family is pretty good. I thought the pilot was severely overrated, but then the second episode had me both cracking up and tearing up, so I’d have to recommend it.

@Uncivil. I’ve seen Joel live as well, and Mrs. A and I were actually kinda surprised how Soup-like it was. We didn’t even bring any crackers.

I saw the pilot, but for the life of me, I don’t know what network it’s on or when.

I want to like it because I loooooooove Joel McHale. I was not impressed with the pilot, but ok, I’ll try again.
