So it’s the Greatest American Hero meets Lost in Space?
Bob Culp would have busted a cap in that pederast Zachary Smith’s ass.

Just once I would like to live with someone who would watch sci-fi shows with me.

@SayThatsCool: That’s probably more accurate.
@NefariousNewt: I hated Janeway with the heat of a thousand suns. Urgh. Now I’m thinking about her. And her querulous voice. Urgh.
@MamaP: Post some tasteful nudes in the comments on i09.com.

@MAMA PENGUINO: It’s funny, because my wife never fails to deride me — kiddingly, of course — for trying to watch ST:TNG re-runs, even though she has a distinct lady-boner for Commander Data.

@VIRUSWITHSHOES: I like Kate Mulgrew, so I was able to tolerate her. Frankly, the whole show was just silly, and when they brought in the bodacious Seven-of-Nine to add eye candy, I knew the Star Trek franchise was truly in its death throes.
And Mama Penguino, you can post even non-tasteful nudes on io9 — you will have plenty of responses from horny science fiction geeks.

You guys have no idea. I love science fiction movies and television shows with a passion unknown to most mortals. I could be happy with an i09 geek, truly.

@MamaP: Get your ass over there. Annalee is fucking awesome as an editor and writer. Been a fan of her since her Alternet days. Alan made a great choice in picking her to run it.
YES, I’M PRAISING ALAN! DEAL.

@Virus: I will absolutely check it out. Thank you!
I didn’t even know this show existed. This is what happens when you only watch HGTV, Bravo and Cartoon Network (also Lifetime, but only for Project Runway).

@VIRUSWITHSHOE: Annalee is the bomb — I’m talking H-bomb, not some piddling A-bomb.
@KATEKATE IS SQUARED: Check out Sci F… sorry… SyFy.

Roberst Carlyle has been slumming it so long now I’m not sure it counts as “slumming” anymore.
I have to appreciate an actor who seems to enjoy being in weird, and kind of great, genre pieces like 28 Weeks Later and Ravenous, though. In that sense, this does seem to be a bit of a step down.

@MamaP and Virus: Yes Annalee at I09 is awesome, Mama. Go there! Always good stuff to read and lots of fanboy/fangirl wars of words in comments at times. Fun!
