The smokies are coming up! Any time now! But probably tomorrow in the early afternoon. This gives you, dear wordsmokers, plenty of time to get in those last minute whips and witty cracks. I will give extra consideration to those of you who comment on Presenting Cowboy Poetry with Elroy Pennyloaf Chapman. Sure, a self-serving bribe, but I’m trying to gauge whether or not to continue the feature.
Keep the entries coming in for the Micro-Fiction Roundup. You’ve got until Wednesday night at midnight when T.S. Delegate selects the winning short, and those who did not submit will indeed feel shame and sorrow, and perhaps have cabbage thrown at them.
Vaquero could use some more votes on the selection for next month’s Book Club. Let this be a reminder to be grateful for your literacy.
Lastly, we still need many, many votes for Movie Night At The Movies! So far it’s a dead heat between Casablanca and Wences’ Fuckin’ Fink Fucks. Hell, stuff the ballot if you want. But with taste and class, please. Please. I’ll be closing the voting towards the beginning of next week.
