Ricky Gervais Meets Elmo

Gervais is going to be in for it when Monsters’ Services sees this. “Get off Elmo” indeed. Is that the voice of Lynn Sweet as the interviewer? I cannot believe she allowed Elmo to be manhandled and berated like that without intervening.

A lady is hired at a plant where Tickle Me Elmo’s are made. She is told to report to work at 8:00 AM. The next day at 9:00 AM, there’s a knock at the plant manager’s door. The assembly line foreman comes in and starts swearing at the manager about the new employee. The foreman takes the manager down to the factory floor to show him the problem. Elmo’s are backed up all over the place and at the end of the assembly line is the new employee. She has a roll of the material used for the Elmo’s fur and a big bag of marbles. They both watch as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it around two marbles and starts sewing the little package between Elmo’s legs. The manager walks over to the woman, and says, ” I’m sorry, I guess you misunderstood me yesterday. Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles.”
